Frequently Asked Questions

Some Of Your Questions

Local Moves

Can you provide me with references?

Our reviews are from a variety of websites and written by actual customers. We strive for outstanding customer reviews and rely on word of mouth referrals to help our business grow.

Do you have a drive time charge?

Yes every company in the state of Washington is obligated to charge for the drive time. We tell you about drive time prior to your move, other companies may not. We have capped drive time at 1 hour, half an hour from our shop to where you are moving from, and then another half hour from your new place back to our shop. Drive time is for local moves only; there is no drive time fee for long distance moves.

Do you have insurance?

We have liability insurance which is limited to $ 0.60 a pound by law. Additional insurance may be purchased, please call the office for additional information.

Will I have to sign a contract?

Yes you will need to sign a contract that has been revised with your information and is provided by the State of Washington.

How can I cancel my reservation?

All cancellations will incur a fee according to the size of job reserved, and will be applied immediately to the credit card used at reservation.

Do I have to empty my dressers for the movers?

It is not necessary to empty dressers as long as there are only clothes in them. Small objects can fall into small spaces or get broken by shifting around during the move. You run less of a risk of items inside the dresser getting damaged if the dresser is filled only with clothes, or empty. Moving empty dressers makes the move easier due to stairs and maneuvering around walls and corners.

Do you provide wardrobes?

We provide wardrobes free of charge just make sure you tell us how many you will need when you make the reservation. You can use the boxes for free, fill them up with clothes when we get to your house and then empty them when we get to your new destination. We expect the wardrobes to be returned at the end of the move.

How do you protect my furniture?

We carry blanket, pads and shrink-wrap to cover and protect your belongings at no extra charge.

Will I have to pay ferry fee?

Yes the customer is responsible for all ferry fees required for the move.

Long Distance Moves

How do you figure out the price on long distance moves?

Any move over 55 miles is considered a long distance move. The prices for long distance moves are determined by the actual weight and mileage of your move. The fees and regulations for long distance moves are mandated by the state of Washington. On the day of your move we will weigh the truck empty, then fill it up with all of your valuables and weigh it again. This gives us an accurate weight or you possessions. You will be given both of the weight receipts

What is included in the price?

Loading, transporting and unloading is all included in the price of long distance moves. We shrink-wrap and cover your items at no extra cost.

Is packing extra?

If you need help packing we will send a crew out the day before to assist in packing. You will have to pay an additional price which we determine using the local move rates

Unusual Valued Items

Items of extraordinary, unusual or high value must be specifically identified prior to the move. The carrier must be advised that they are included in the shipment.

Items of extraordinary, unusual or high value are as follows: currency, jewelry, precious metals stones or gems, silverware and service sets, china sets, crystal or figurines, fur or fur garments, antiques, oriental rugs or tapestries, rare collectables including those of historical value, art including paintings and statuaries, computer software programs, manuscripts or other rare documents. Other items may also fall into this category and MUST be identified as well.

Identifying items of extraordinary, unusual or high value lets the carrier be aware of items which require special handling and protection. Failure to identify such items will result in limited carrier liability.
